The City of Kannapolis Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of planning for two new city parks. The eastside park will be in the Lake Fisher area of the City on 33 acres. On Tuesday, March 12, the Kannapolis Fire Department welcomed seven new firefighters to its ranks. The new recruits completed four months of fire, rescue and medical training prior to officially joining the department.
