Taylor Glen is a flourishing Life Plan Community owned and operated by ThriveMore, a not-for-profit organization committed to providing quality care and a meaningful way of life for residents and staff since 1951. As they continue to meet the needs of their residents, Taylor Glen continues to evolve, which is why members of The Chamber were recently visited their community to help kick off their expansion with a ground breaking ceremony.
Opened in November 2001 by Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina, Taylor Glen was the first Life Plan Community in Cabarrus County and remains the only life care community in the county. The community is situated on 122 acres of land that was gifted to Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina by Mr. Carol Taylor with the idea to build the first senior living community in Concord.
Taylor Glen offers independent living apartments, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehab services. Their upcoming expansion includes the addition of 33 Cottage Homes to their living options as well as a new Villa apartment building with modern finishes and more open spaces. The Cottage Homes and Villa apartments will be ready for occupancy in 2025 and 2026. They are also building the first Memory Care Greenhouse Home in North Carolina.
