The Cabarrus Chamber recently joined Superior Indoor Golf and Soccer in celebrating their one-year anniversary with an official ribbon cutting ceremony! Located in Concord, this unique indoor sports facility has spent the past year providing a fun, interactive space for golfers and soccer players of all ages and skill levels.
Founded by Toby Mellott, Superior Indoor Golf and Soccer first opened its doors on April 22, 2024, following months of planning that began in late 2023. After more than 30 years in the racing industry, Toby made a bold career shift to pursue a dream of bringing a community-centered, sports-based entertainment venue to Cabarrus County. With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration (with a concentration in Finance), Toby combined his business background with a desire to serve the community in a new and engaging way.
Superior Indoor Golf and Soccer features four state-of-the-art simulators that allow users to play on global real golf courses and test their soccer skills with interactive drills. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just looking for a fun outing, the simulators provide accurate data and immersive gameplay. Guests can bring their own clubs or use those provided by the facility, and soccer balls are furnished for all players. In addition to its sports offerings, the facility also serves a selection of beverages (including alcohol and non-alcoholic options) and snacks to enhance the experience.
Over the past year, Superior Indoor Golf and Soccer has actively connected with local schools, youth groups, summer camps, and senior/adult activity organizations, further demonstrating their commitment to community involvement and accessible recreation.
Toby and the team joined the Cabarrus Chamber to build relationships, connect with local businesses, and increase awareness of their unique venue. "We enjoy being involved with our local community and look forward to forming partnerships and sharing our space with more people across Cabarrus County," they shared.
