9975 Poplar Tent Rd, Suite 200 | Concord, NC 28027
Palmetto Infusion hosted its grand opening last month with a Chamber ribbon cutting. The company celebrated the opening of its first facility in Cabarrus County, but is no stranger to the industry they work in. In fact, their Poplar Tent Road location is the 30th facility to open in the Southeast since the company was founded in 1999.
Palmetto Infusion provides comprehensive ambulatory services to both acute and chronically ill patients, such as those with Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn’s Disease, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. As pioneers in the healthcare industry, they were among the first in the country to believe that what they had to offer to patients was unique and life-altering. While the company offers infusion treatments for autoimmune diseases and acute illnesses, they also give patients hope that despite receiving a life-changing diagnosis, and at times, an unclear prognosis, that a path to wellness and a real quality of life is possible.
In 2020, the company’s Founder and Executive Chairman Gary Cooper and CEO David Goodall were recognized for their leadership in overcoming adversity, financial performance, societal impact and commitment to building a values-based company, innovation and talent management, earning them EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 Southeast Award. This is the world’s most prestigious business awards program for unstoppable entrepreneurs. The recognition shines a light on Palmetto’s strong foundation and culture, which allowed its team to continue safely serving more than 8,000 patients throughout the Southeast despite a challenging year due to constraints and complications stemming from COVID-19.
Today, Palmetto has more than 400 employees in the Southeast and they continue to expand to make it easier for their patients to get the care they need closer to home.
As a new member of the Chamber, Palmetto Infusion hopes to build more connections with community partners and stakeholders that will help increase the exposure of their brand and the work they do.
