We joined Kinetic for the launch of their fiber service in Mount Pleasant earlier this month! Now more than 1,000 households in Mount Pleasant qualify for fiber that didn't in 2023.
Jeff Gardner (Little Rock, Arkansas) and a group founded it in 2006, combining several small rural telephone companies like Concord Telephone Company to create Windstream (now Kinetic). Paul Sunu is the current CEO and chairman of the board of directors. Sunu’s experience in the industry includes 27 years in telecom, focused on rural telecommunications.
Kinetic is best known for offering internet services. Depending on the area, they offer fiber, DSL, and cable internet. They also provide telephone and security services.
Kinetic was named among 'Best Internet Providers' by Forbes Home for the second consecutive year in 2024. Forbes Home also recognized Kinetic's fiber internet among 'The Best Fiber Internet Providers' in 2023 and 2024. Also in 2024, Kinetic was named the Best of Internet Providers for Fast DSL Internet Speeds by CNET.
