Members of The Chamber joined Care A Lot Adult Daycare in Kannapolis to celebrate the grand opening of its facility dedicated to providing compassionate and quality care for seniors.
Established in 2022 and officially opening its doors on June 12, 2024, Care A Lot Adult Daycare is the brainchild of Bridget Smith, a dedicated professional with 30 years of experience working with handicap adults and seniors. Her extensive background spans group homes, nursing homes, day placements, and personal caregiving, reflecting her deep commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors.
Bridget's vision for the center is to offer a welcoming environment where seniors and adults 18 and up who depend on a caregiver can thrive while their loved ones are at work. The facility provides a range of services including social activities, health and wellness support, and medication management. With a nurse on-site for part of the day and a trainer focusing on daily health and movement, Care A Lot Adult Daycare is dedicated to fostering well-being and engagement.
Its mission is not only to provide exceptional care but also to integrate deeply into the community. Bridget's personal connection to seniors, inspired by her own family's legacy of respect for older adults, drives her to make a difference through this nonprofit venture. Future plans include collaboration with local schools and health providers to bring even more joy and support to the seniors.
