Burger King® and Carrols Restaurant Group, LLC celebrated the grand re-opening of their remodeled restaurant in Kannapolis, North Carolina, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 8 at 11:00 a.m. The updated location at 800 N Cannon Blvd features the brand’s new “Sizzle” design, first announced in October 2023.
This remodel was made possible by Carrols Restaurant Group, LLC (“Carrols”), the largest U.S. operator of Burger King restaurants. Through its subsidiaries, Carrols operates more than 1,000 Burger King locations in 23 states, including over 150 in North Carolina and 42 in the Charlotte market.
The redesigned restaurant includes several enhancements aimed at improving the guest experience:
Digital Ordering Kiosks for convenient dine-in or carry-out ordering
Enhanced Drive-Thru with a canopied design, automated voice system, and double lanes
Designated Pick-Up Area for seamless delivery and digital order retrieval
Signature Interior Design Features such as the new “King Booth” for families and large groups, a “Crown Wall” for photo opportunities, and a unique Whopper art installation
Modern Exterior Elements including a prominent Burger King bun logo and a “Home of the Whopper” wall
These updates are part of Burger King’s “Reclaim the Flame” strategy, a multi-year plan launched in 2022 with over $700 million in investments to modernize restaurants and improve the customer experience. The “Sizzle” design reflects the brand’s goal to achieve 85-90% modern image across the U.S. by 2028.
