We recently joined Boujee Babies to celebrate their one year anniversary with a ribbon cutting!
Boujee Babies was founded by Stacy and Derrick Rodgers in August 2022. Stacy has over 15 years of experience in corporate retail and Derrick has been a successful business owner in the area for many years. Their mission is to offer high quality baby and children clothing, with a mixture of fashion forward and timeless pieces to allow children to express themselves freely in a wholesome way.
Stacy and Derrick opened Boujee Babies because "Kannapolis hasn’t had a true children’s boutique in a long time. Our love for children coupled with our love for fashion and the desire to be involved in this amazing revitalization brought us to the possibility of opening a children’s boutique in the heart of Kannapolis, on South Main Street. I can not tell you how good it feels to hear people come in our store and say how wonderful it is to have a children’s store in Kannapolis again. We’re so thankful for the overwhelming response we’ve received even in the short time we’ve been here."
Boujee Babies offers baby gifts, gear and christening outfits and gowns. Along with, top brands like The Beaufort Bonnet Company, Properly Tied, Kissy Kissy, just to name a few. Their clothing ranges premie/newborn up to size 18/20 in teen. They also have a fantastic line of boutique brand shoes and accessories; family matching options, toys and more.
Along with clothing, Boujee Babies has an event rental space that holds up to 32 people and have helped the community have a beautiful space to entertain their guests for all occasions. They recommend this space for small, intimate settings. It’s a perfect option for a baby shower, 1st or 2nd birthday, sprinkle, or bridal shower. But they will not turn away any one looking to host an event that they can accommodate.
Boujee Babies also offers monogramming to help with all your personalizing needs. Their website allows them to ship across the country, but they also offer their local family shipping or pickup options. They will be releasing many new features to their website and expanding their services soon, so be on the lookout for those updates.
Since their opening last year, Boujee Babies has been nominated to participate in the Independent Tribune's "Best of Cabarrus 2023" awards in the children's boutique category, which they considered a huge honor since their business wasn't even a year old at the time.
As for their membership with The Chamber, they hope to continue networking, make lasting friendships and get to know how they can help serve Kannapolis better.
