CONCORD, N.C. — Drivers will experience a closure at the corner of Spring Street and Corban Avenue in downtown Concord July 9-28.
The closure will facilitate stormwater work associated with the construction of the County’s new 628-spot downtown parking deck.
The deck, on the corner of Corban Avenue SW at Spring Street SW, across from the Cabarrus County Courthouse, will help address parking demands for courthouse activities.
During construction, which is expected to last through March 2019, courthouse visitors are encouraged to park in the County’s Surface Parking Lot 2 (located next to Fifth Third Bank, between Church Street and McCachern Boulevard).
Cabarrus County awarded construction of the project to Messer Construction Company. Morris Berg Architects and project engineers Kimley-Horn completed the design and will provide construction administration of the parking deck.
